4 Easy Steps to Booking a Yacht with Virgin Island Sailing

1. Selecting your yacht

First start by viewing the yachts on our "Captain Only" crewed yacht page . This will present you with 10 - 12 of our favorite yachts in your category with prices.

You will see a full colored brochure of the yacht including: layout, crew profile, and sample menu.

There are also often links to the yacht's virtual tour and letters of recommendation from our clients that have chartered this boat in the past.

2. Checking availability

Email or call Gail with your preferred sailing / cruising dates and the
yacht or yachts of interest that you have found on our web site.

Gail will then email or call you with the availability and full disclosure of
costs for those yachts and other similar yachts that may be of interest
to you.

She is able to answer any questions you may have on the yachts and captains. Her insight on what yachts and captains that might be best for your group can be very helpful.  Many of our seasoned professional crews speak multiple languages.

Gail knows the yachts and captains  better then anyone and can
help you choose just the right yacht for your Caribbean vacation!

3. Holding your dates

Once you have chosen your preferred yacht, we will hold the yacht for your dates and fax or email you a contract  along with our credit card form. To confirm your charter, simply fax back the completed contract and credit card form. Yachts can be held for a period of time with no money down.

We strongly recommend that you reserve plane seats when you pay your deposit. For the best rate, call Brigitte in our office at 800-382-9666 or fill out our DISCOUNT AIRFARE REQUEST FORM.

4. When you confirm your charter

Once the charter has been confirmed, we will mail you a colored brochure of the yacht,  your complete document package, your receipt and a free cruising guide.

When your Captain has received your activity preferences, we will arrange for the captain to get in touch with you.

We make everything easy for you by accepting all major credit cards*, supplying you with pre-stamped return mailers, and being available throughout your charter experience from beginning to end.

INCLUDED IN THE CHARTER FEE:

Charter fee includes yacht & captain. The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the boat and the guests should be willing to help sail the boat.

The guests are responsible to supply food and beverages for themselves and the captain (and mate when applicable) and do all the cooking and cleaning of the dishes and keep the boat clean. The skipper will show you all the sights of the Virgin Islands and take you to the best snorkel spots.

The guests will need to pay for food, beverages, fuel, water and ice along with paying BVI cruising taxes of between $40 and $60 per person for the week.

A gratuity of 15 -20% to the captain is customary, at charter's discretion.

Scuba is quoted separately, so please ask me for specifics on the yachts of interest.

* Maximum credit card charge per any charter is $20,000.00  Greater amounts should be wired or paid by check.
