Tom DeMartine, along with his wife Sylvie founded SEVEN SEAS YACHT CHARTERS in 1987 after skippering yachts private and charter for 80,000 miles and visiting 23 countries. 

Tom and Sylvie acquired VIRGIN ISLAND SAILING, LTD. a Tortola, BVI  based Corporation in 1993, and operate both companies out of the Florida offices.

Tom has been an active member of the Charter Yacht Broker's Association (CYBA) since 1988. Tom was the Chairman of the Ethics Committee on its Board of Directors from 2003 – 2008 and served on their board of directors many years prior.

He is dedicated to spending as much time as his clients need, to get acquainted with a particular boat or cruising area. Tom keeps current on the yachts and cruising areas in part with a "hands-on" approach.

• Motoring a Crown Blue Line bareboat canal boat for a week on the MIDI canal in France.

• Sailing for a week on board the Nemo 82' catamaran Tuamotu around Tahiti.

• A week cruising Greece on the 102' motor yacht Ekali, the 108' catamaran motor yacht Aegen Princess and the 131' motor yacht Carmen Fontana. 

• Five days cruising the Exuma Cays (Bahamas) on the 71' motor yacht SEA EAGLE II.

• Two weeks sailing & diving the British Virgins on the 55' catamaran Taurus.

• A week sailing & diving the San Blas Islands of Panama on the 53' catamaran Tamarin of Tortola. Video of the San Blas Islands trip.

• Tom has also recently sailed aboard the 258' clipper STAD AMSTERDAM, the multi-hull MILLENNIUM, a 55' Jeanneau catamaran, 138' catamaran Douce France, 55' catamaran Nondi, 82' catamaran Lone Star, the Swan 68 La Reverende, the Catalina 36' Sandy Kay, and a host of others.
