Chris Kessell, Base Manager in St. Lucia, is proud to welcome you to
The Moorings base in Marigot Bay.
Facilities: Restaurant,
hotel, pool, gift shop, ice, snorkeling gear, kayak rental, showers/toilets,
customs for clearance, supermarket, laundry, car rental, post office and
bank. Portable phones are available.
Electricity: The
Moorings marina is equipped with 110V power outlets.
The majority of our
yachts are equipped with power lines, battery charger and 110V plugs, which
can only be used when the yacht is connected to shore power.
There is a 12V cigar
lighter outlet by the chart table on the majority of our yachts.
Transfers: The
transfers from George Charles or Hewanorra airport to the base and back
are handled by the Airport Taxi Association. Upon clearing customs, the
dispatcher will assign a taxi to bring you to the base and the driver will
be paid by The Moorings. One transfer per charter is included in the price
of your yacht. If your party needs several transfers because of different
arrival times, please inform your Moorings agent.
Embarkation/Disembarkation
Time: Your charter starts and ends at noon.
One-Ways: From
St. Lucia, you can choose to sail and drop off your Moorings yacht at any
of our 5 other locations in the Caribbean: British Virgin Islands, St.
Martin, Martinique, Union Island and Grenada.
Our teams in these
locations will also be happy to welcome you if you wish to simply overnight
or re-provision. Fuel, water and ice are free of charge for Moorings customers
at all of the above mentioned bases with the exception of Union Island.

Weather: Temperatures
in St. Lucia may range between 83° F (28c) and 88° F (31c). Little
variation between summer and winter. Rainfall is low, varying slightly
from island to island. Nighttime temperatures drop to a comfortable level.
The rainy season
