RAIATEA
Only by boat can you truly experience the magic of the Leeward Islands of Tahiti. Sail blue lagoons in the shadows of volcanic peaks just as ancient Polynesians did in outrigger canoes.

• Visit Raiatea, Tahaa, Huahine and Bora Bora.
• Explore tranquil lagoons
• Anchor on uninhabited motus
• Experience the fragrant mixture of orchid, frangi pani and vanilla

The Timeless, Living Legend
Discover a place unspoiled by modern times and seemingly reserved just for you and experience the gracious welcoming traditions of the gentle people of these islands. Watch a sunset reflected in these tranquil lagoons and like Fletcher Christian, you just may wish to stay forever.

Four Islands For Your Exploration

• Raiatea, with remarkable deep sea fishing and scuba diving

• Tahaa, the “Vanilla Island” that produces 80% of French Polynesia’s vanilla.

• Bora Bora, home to the best snorkel and dive spots in the Society Islands

• Huahine, affected least by the outside world, known best for snorkeling in Bay d’Avea

• All four islands are the tops of ancient volcanoes which rise from the very bottom of the sea floor. Passes in the reefs that surround each peak allow easy access in and out of the famous lagoons. Good anchorages are abundant on the uninhabited motus with spectacular views back to the central islands.

Direct Flights To A Warm Welcome
The islands lie halfway between Australia and California, with direct flights to Papeete, the capital city of Tahiti. Then it’s a 45-minute flight to Raiatea, where you will be warmly greeted by The Moorings staff and a mid-ocean world of endless inspiration.
