Fees |
Boats under 60ft pay $15.00 to Moor and $10.00
to anchor. Anchoring is the only option for boats over 60ft, at a cost
of $15.00 for 60ft-75ft and $25.00 for boats longer then 75ft.
Fees can be paid to an agent who makes rounds,
or at several locations ashore. Golden
Oldies at VI Park:
Cruisers who qualify for a US Park Department issued "Golden
Passport" pay only US$7.50 on the moorings in the USVI National Marine
Park. Seniors can get that passport when they check into St. John. |

$2/person per day during high season (1 Dec

or $0.75/person/day during low season
BVI Cruising Tax when departing from St
Thomas is $4/person per day year round. |

| Diesel Fuel |
Diesel fuel is not included on motoryachts,
sailboats with A/C & Gen and many other sailboats. The cost for fuel
is between $3.00 - $4.50 per gallon. |
| Water |
In most cases water is between $0.15 - $0.20 per gallon when topping of the water tanks. |
| Ferry Boat rates |
From St Thomas - Tortola or Tortola - St Thomas
the ferry rates are around $45.00 per person round trip. |
| Captain only yachts & Bareboats with skipper |
The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the boat and the guests should be willing to help sail the boat.
The guests are responsible to Supply food and beverages for themselves and the captain ( and mate when applicable) and do all the cooking and cleaning of the dishes and keep the boat cleaned up.
The skipper will show you all the sights of the Virgins and take you to the best snorkel spots.
The guests will need to pay for food, beverages, fuel, water & ice along with paying BVI cruising taxes of between $100 & $200 for the boat for the week. A tip of
10-15% of the charter fee to the captain is customary. |
