The food was excellent.....Lezli Petersen was the chef and really is talented!
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Loved the whole area!St John, Norman's Bight, Cooper's Island, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Monkey Point and Jost Van Dyke

No we were very happy....

8. Additional comments on your charter?
What a wonderful way to see the islands, go to places a cruise ship can't get to! We snorkeled sometimes twice a day, seeing turtles, octopus, baraccuda, tarpon, many many different species of fish that we had fun identifying afterwards with the ship's books.......

1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Absolutely. He even picked us up on Jost Van Dyke, and dropped us off in St. Thomas.
2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes. Always.
3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
A little warm at anchorage (when there was no wind.) The one night we opted for the A/C, it was delightfully chilly. Perfect.
4. Was the food good and well presented?
Some of the best food we've ever had. And we are from New Orleans.
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
I am an airline pilot, and the area was the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life.
6. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
Yes. You could somehow figure out how to allow us never to leave our stay on the boat. Ha.

8. Additional comments on your charter?
Alan was absolutely accommodating, and a world class cook. The only food that bypassed his, was the Anegada Lobster we had at a restaurant of his suggestion. We put our trip destination choices in his hands, and we were constantly amazed. The one time we changed our mind en route (in order to make a music festival), our course was altered immediately for our tastes. Alan is professional, and (now) makes a mean margarita (ha!). In addition, he is a very capable scuba diver (we dove most days, with Alan as our guide). His food and alcohol selection leaves nothing to be desired. Did I mention his food is to die for??? A+ trip, all the way around.

Capt. Alan was a most competent host and chose an itinerary for us that achieved what we had in mind. He was good at assessing our needs and making adjustments to our preferences. For example: I found that my 81 year old body was not nearly able to keep up with the physical activities I had planned. I used a cane for balance and needed assistance getting in & out of the dinghy. We were probably a lot slower in other activities than we expected. e.g. getting up early in the AM! The Islands were very beautiful & the weather cooperated. One final comment - I think the emphasis on the bars and drinking is overdone. Thanks for a fine cruise. Jo Anderson
