1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Exceptionally - Captain Pat was interesting and wonderful company, flexible and responsive. Couldn't be better.
2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?

3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes
4. Was the food good and well presented?
Yes - the chef worked well with our various food needs; very caring with desire to please. Good meals.
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes

8. Additional comments on your charter?
We had a perfectly wonderful experience. It couldn't have been better. We think highly of Captain Pat Beaufront, a kind and accommodating man, who helped make each day fun and satisfying. He is knowledgeable about the BVI and as he solicited our input regarding destinations and activities, he offered good advice about each day's itinerary. He described the workings of the instruments and imparted some sailing techniques to our grown sons which added to the adventure for them. It was a wonderful experience for the five of us who found the trip exhilarating and great fun. Kudos to Captain Pat. We would highly recommend this trip with Captain Pat on the Oteka.

We hope your charter lived up to your expectations. We would love to know some of your impressions about your yachting vacation. Please answer the following questions and add any comments you may have.
1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Pat went out of his way to be accomodating, he picked us up from the airport and made sure we had everything that we needed. He is patient and willing to teach us sailing and share his knowledge.
2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
The yacht was spotless. Everything was shining clean fresh and looked new. The accomodations were perfect. OTEKA is extremely well taken care of.
3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes, fans were in the sleeping areas and lots of hatches.
4. Was the food good and well presented?
We did our own food, but the kitchen was well equipped and the meal that Pat cooked was excellent. His special drink was yummy too!!!
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
We loved the area we sailed. We sailed to almost all of the islands and did a lot of snorkelling. The winds were favourable as was the weather.
6. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
Somewhere in your information it was indicated that traveller's cheques were fine to use for a tip, however this is NOT the case. They are very difficult to cash, in that the recipient AND the user ( ie me) have to go to the bank together , with ID and the whole process can take 2-3 hours. It also did not help that we arrived back on a Sunday and flew out very early the next day so were not able to get enough cash. I have fixed this problem in that I wired him his tip but it caused some embarrassment along with inconvinence.

8. Additional comments on your charter?
We had a fantastic time on the boat with Captain Pat. He knows the area well and is a safe but relaxed Captain.He is adaptable so that if the winds were not in our favour an alternative was offered so that we had a fun day. He really wanted to make sure that we had a good time. He was also always at our beck and call if need be. However, saying that, he was very adept at giving our group our own space as well. OTEKA is a lovely yacht and is a joy to sail on.
WE would highly recommend OTEKA and would go sailing again with Pat.
